Tamara Soto is a painter working primarily with oil and cold wax. Her work is abstract in nature. Her approach is to use colors intuitively, engaging in the moment. Painting becomes a conversation, a search of the unknown, where the elements in the painting create a sense of mystery and an open field for imagination. Part of her process is scratching the painting, which exposes the layers underneath, bringing to life textures, shapes and lines.
Tamara’s inspiration comes from nature, travels and the colors of traditional textiles of her native Bolivia.
