Mads Brimble is an artist who delves into the use of technology and creative coding to produce tangible sculptural artworks. Her practice is centered around the exploration of evolution, genetics and processes of change, with a specific focus on challenging the societal norms and assumptions that are often reinforced through biological discourses.
Groups of generated shapes are selected from the algorithm, recombined into hybrid forms, laser cut and interlocked by hand. These unique acrylic shapes and forms represent an ever-changing population of synthetic organisms, each symbolising the tangible past and evolving future.
This artistic inquiry aims to challenge conventional notions of biological and societal structures and contribute to a deeper understanding of the future of queer existences beyond the confines of our pre-existing understandings of diversity.
