For more than twenty years now Canadian glass artist Catherine Benoit has created colourful, sculptural, utilitarian, and decorative glass works. She especially loves to work in a lyrical way, by poetically juxtaposing her two favorite techniques: glassblowing and pâte de verre. If glassblowing is more of a physical and high-intensity choreography with predetermined steps, pâte de verre is a softer methodology that is far more introspective. Catherine’s creations are inspired by nature, travelling and reflect her passion for dance.
