Argentium Silver
This is a beautiful modern jewellery designed and handmade by artist Yair Stern. Argentium silver is a durable silver that contains more silver and is also more tarnish resistant than sterling silver.
The necklace is set with a Jewish bronze coin from the Hasmonean dynasty portraying a double cornucopia and on the other side paleo Hebrew writing (usually "of King Jonathan and High priest" ). The coin is dated 40 BCE to 80 BCE. This is the "penny" or lowest denomination coin of that period also known in Hebrew as "Prutah" (often referred to in Talmudic discussion).
