Zsuzsa was born and raised in Hungary where she acquired her love and appreciation for objects, forms, proportions, and colors. These elements contain hidden meaning, representing an entire cultural background or a sudden recall of past emotions, which propels her to create.
Her formal education and PhD in Biology enabled her to come to Canada where she worked in a research laboratory. In 1994 she changed professions and left the world of biology in order to play with clay rather than test tubes. Her childhood experiences and her background in biology make her who she is today, and this is reflected in her work.
“As it is not only me who wants to shape the clay, but the clay shapes me, effects my mood and everyday life too.”
