London, England-born artist Nick Hally began working with wood over thirty years ago and has never looked back. After an eight year stint in BC working as a custom furniture maker, he moved to Ontario and began a career specializing in applied marquetry and inlay. In 1994, he and his wife Annette, a jewellery artist, opened Maple Hollow Studio in Tichborne, Ontario.
Nick’s passion for local and exotic woods inspires the design of his sculptural vessels and stunning applied marquetry containers. In 2000, Nick’s work was awarded a Honourable mention at the “Uniquely Ontario” section of the Toronto International Gift Show.
