Heather Yamada

Heather Midori Yamada has been living in Montreal since 1989. She has been pursuing painting in watercolour and acrylics, working with Japanese “Washi” and other Asian fine papers in collage, paintings and printmaking. Primarily working with abstract imagery-mark-making, the use of transparency and gesture, Heather has recently added representational subject matter to her repertoire. Her new body of work includes watercolours of plants, leaves and flowers. Heather also teaches painting at the Visual Arts Centre in Westmount.
