Originally trained as an engineer, Gary has been working in wood for twenty-five years. After graduating from the New York Institute of Technology, he gained work experience with several engineering firms before deciding to pursue his hobby of woodworking full time. He opened his studio in 1990 specializing in lathe turned wood bowls.
Gary’s collection is now focused on Judaic ritual objects like his unique, swiveling Menorah, and his Challah bread boards which are beautifully engraved with the Hebrew blessing for over the bread.
Gary’s work is represented in galleries in the United States and Canada. All work is made from both domestic and exotic hardwoods whose natural beauty is allowed to show through, without the use of stains or colors.
*It is recommended to use smokeless, dripless candles with Gary’s menorahs.
