Celebrated crafts person and artist Carrol Boyes started her design studio in 1989 in South Africa. Raised in Pretoria, she studied Fine Arts at the local University and upon graduating, taught sculpture for eleven years. She began her company with the desire to bring aesthetically pleasing yet functional objects into the home.
Carrol performs the initial design of all the products from her Cape Town studio after which manufacturing takes place at her own facility in the tropical Lowveld of the Limpopo Province. The largest part of her collection is made up of unusual cutlery, flatware and tableware.
Her trademark materials include a fusion of pewter, aluminum, stainless steel, and leather. Highly collectible, her work is exhibited throughout North America and Europe.
