Approval Policy

When considering a major purchase of art work, it is very important to see it "in situ", meaning in place, to confirm everything hangs together as a cohesive concept.  At Petroff Gallery we encourage you to try works out in your home or office, free of charge.  We realize that in a professional gallery atmosphere, everything is designed to be enticing.  The effects of  lighting, proportions and colours will fluctuate in different settings, so you need to see the piece on your wall first.

With our Approval Policy, we allow you or your designer to 'sign out' up to 3 pieces for up to 3-5 days, with a security deposit. After you have lived with them for several days, simply call and us know that you wish to keep them, and we will put through the purchase at that time. If you find that these artworks are not appropriate, simply return them to the Gallery, and the security deposit is voided. Be sure you take advantage this pivotal  service the next time you visit!

Art Consultation and Placement 

For over 15 years, curator and interior designer, Sara Levine Petroff, has been consulting with clients and designers on art selection, collections, placement, lighting and installation.  The right piece, in the right place makes all the difference.  Talk to us about your needs.  We are experts in this field.

We do offer a complimentary assessment of your space to measure up and make suggestions.  Call to book your consultation appointment.

If you would like to have your current collection of 2 and 3 dimensional works re-organized and displayed in an artful manner, either in your home or office, Sara's hourly rate is $75. 

Gift Wrap 

Every piece purchased from the gallery will come with an artist write up, as well as a gift receipt. You also have the option of having your purchase professionally gift wrapped by one of our staff. In lieu of charging for this service, we do encourage all of our patrons to consider a donation to the Canadian Breast Cancer Society, which can be done upon purchase.  As of June 1, 2009, we are required to charge 5 cents per bag. 

Shipping

The staff at Petroff Gallery are highly skilled in packing and shipping delicate works world wide: we are happy to ship your one of a kind piece right to your door.  The cost of shipping for our clients is determined after the piece has been completely packed to the standards of Canada Post, Canpar or UPS or other international carriers.

Delivery

All of our clients living within the Greater Toronto Area have the option of having their piece delivered through a professional Courier Service.
