As a strong advocate for the arts in Toronto, Sara has served on Board of Directors for Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition, the Ronald McDonald House art selection committee, juried and curated numerous independent exhibitions, guest lectured on professional practice at Sheridan College School of Craft & Design, as well as led workshops on portfolio presentation and artist/gallery relations for the Ontario Craft Council.

Steven Petroff, M.B.A.

Gallery Director/Recognition Awards

Steven consults with clients and designers on art selection, collections, placement, lighting and installation.  Whether for an individual event or an annual awards program, Steven will assist you in finding the perfect piece.  All inquiries regarding private function bookings, corporate gift programs, and marketing can be directed to him.


Steven is also the Chair for the Upper Village Business Improvement Area (B.I.A.), helping businesses in the Eglinton Avenue West area. The B.I.A. is a non-profit umbrella organization representing over 200 businesses and property owners. Steven assists with pooling their resources to achieve the maximum benefit possible. He is also a member of Toronto Resource Partners and the Thornhill Referral Network.

 Monica 

Monica Hayward, B.Sc., diploma Jewellery Arts and Design

Gallery Manager (currently on maternity leave)

 

Monica holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto in 1999 in Zoology.  Inspired by natural forms she continued her studies at George Brown College and completed a diploma in Jewellery Arts and Design.  She has an extensive knowledge of metal techniques, materials, and care.  Monica has served as the Production Manager and a Product Developer for the ROM Reproductions Association, an association that developed reproductions of artifacts on display at the Royal Ontario Museum. Due to Monica’s experience with large scale production and her profound understanding of the capabilities of the over 400 artists represented at Petroff Gallery, she is the perfect consultant on corporate gift programs, commissions, and special orders.  Outside of the gallery Monica is working to establish herself as an independent curator and currently sits on the Board of the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition.
 Anna Anna Zelska Hon. B.A.
Assistant Manager/ Framing Specialist

Anna Zelska received her B.A with Honors at University of Toronto in Art History, History, and Visual Studies.  She is the website administrator and full-time sales associate at Petroff Gallery. Anna’s artistic background in teaching fine art methods, contemporary art practices, and colour theory is also combined with framing expertise. She is the perfect person to answer any technical questions regarding watercolor, acrylic, oil paintings, prints, and photography represented at Petroff Gallery.  Eloquent in historical styles and techniques with a deep understanding of colour harmony, Anna is also a specialist in the proper conservation and preservation of works of art.

Kate Kluska
Sales Associate / Ketubah Consultant 


Kate Kluska joins Petroff Gallery with a strong background in art auctions and sales, so be sure to ask for her by name for any of your inquiries.  Kate studied at the University of Toronto, concentrating on Art History and Visual Studies, and holds a strong interest and passion in creating her own works.  Having spent the last year working and travelling abroad for an art auction house, Kate is well acquainted with the sale and current market of works by Modern Print Masters. The majority of her experience and knowledge is within the print mediums; serigraphs, lithographs, linocuts, giclees, etching & engravings, making her the perfect person with which to discuss your Ketubah needs.  From selecting your print medium, to text and personalization, to framing your Ketubah, Kate can guide you through each step of acquiring the perfect marriage document that meets all your needs.

Jasmine Lazdins, Hon. B.F.A., MA Art History Candidate

Jasmine Lazdins is a part time sales associate at Petroff Gallery.  She attended the University of Ottawa for studio art, and completed her degree at Concordia University in Montreal, majoring in art history and photography.  During this time Jasmine completed work placements in the Curatorial Contemporary Art department of the National Gallery of Canada, with Montreal’s Nuit Blanche and co-curated a public exhibition, One Place Leads to Another, in Weimar, Germany.  She applies her experience and expertise to client consultation in framing and collections at Petroff Gallery.  Jasmine is currently enrolled in her Master’s of Art History at York University.
