With over 25 years of experience in glass blowing, Paul Harrie’s work is as close to perfection as it comes. As both a student and a teacher in the art of glass blowing, Paul prides himself on producing one of a kind piece’s that are flawless in both their design and execution.

Despite being trained in California, Paul Harrie’s unique work is influenced by childhood memories of the pristine snow covered and icy landscape of North Dakota in the winter.  His pieces give the impression of peering into ice or looking into a geode.  It is the precise detailing in his work which allows the viewer this experience.

While drawn to more classical forms in his work, Paul’s works are considered contemporary in design by his choice of bright, eye catching colours.  The formation of his pieces, whether soft edged or faceted, convey a real flow and movement of colour encased in crystal clear glass.   Each piece is treated with great care and carefully inspected before leaving his studio.

With the development of his own private studio, Harrie Art Glass, Paul spends most of his time creating.  His work can currently be found in galleries and museums all over North America.  His has also been featured in The Corning Museum of Glass, New Glass Review 2.
