Tina Croghan began her career as an Interior Designer but over the years has changed her creative endeavours and focused on her growing passion for working with clay. She received her education and training for ceramics at Sheridan, George Brown College, and the School of Art in Haliburton.
After many years exploring the properties and possibilities of raku fired clay, Tina has developed a body of work in high fire porcelain. Lavished with flourishes of bold colour and texture, Tina’s more recent works are an extension of her abstract paintings on canvas. Although functional, her current work continues to focus on sculptural form and line, and are often enhanced with her own ceramic beads and intricately hand woven reed. |
