An award winning graphic designer, jewellery artist Gill Birol applies her eye for line, space and texture to her unique collection of accessories. Born in Istanbul, Turkey, Gill earned a BA in Applied Fine; Arts from Marmara University of Istanbul. For over a decade she has been polishing her creativity as a jewellery designer on three continents.Fine gems and semiprecious stones are with organic and industrial materials to create contrasting textures. Her signature pop art designs are accomplished by hand crafting patterns in sterling silver and filling the negative space with epoxy resin that is coloured with pigments or dried herbs such as mint and paprika. The result is vibrant colours with just a hint of texture. Her creative style is constantly evolving;discovering and working with new materials is a daily affirmation.
